Homestays are carefully selected and offer students the opportunity to learn more about the local culture in a comfortable setting while studying Japanese.

The host family lives on average less than an hour away from school by public transport.

Families usually offer breakfast, but no other meals. However, in some cases you can book additional meals beforehand.

Please make sure that your plane arrives between 9 am and 7 pm. You can choose the move-out date and time freely.

*The Female Sharehouse can be either a separate house or a female-only floor.

In a Share house, you have your own room, but have to share bathroom and kitchen with other students. Living room and kitchen are often wide and comfortable and equipped with TV, so can spend time there with Japanese and foreign students.

Share houses are usually a bit further away from the city center and you will have to take public transport to reach the school in about 15 to 25 minutes.

If you want to live in a Sharehouse. You can check in any day after 3 pm and check out any day before 10 am.

Flat share is run by other Japanese residents, where they rent out one of their rooms to students. In flat share you will either have one room for yourself or share it with another student. All flats are furnished and include a basic kitchen (stove), refrigerator and microwave.
Shared flats are usually a bit further away from the city center and you will have to take public transport to reach the school in about 15 to 25 minutes.
For flat share you have to stay at least 2 weeks and spaces are limited, so please contact us, if you want to live in a shared flat.
If you want to book Flat Share you have to book Airport Pick-up, which is scheduled for Thursday every week. Please make sure that you plane arrives between 9 am and 8 pm. You can chose the move out any day before 10 am.

Meiji Academy works with various accommodation providers to offer superior Western standard fully furnished apartments and all basic facilities.

All apartments are fully equipped with an air-conditioner, basic kitchen (stove), refrigerator, and microwave. You can check in any day after 3 pm and check out any day of the week before 10 am.
